Extension on break cue as extra option ?

I can't put an extension on my playing cue because is a D series McDermott. Thinking about putting a Stinger break shaft on a McDermott G222 to make it a break cue. Would I be crazy to have McDermott put the Engage bumper for the Engage extension on the G222 with break shaft for the rare times I need an extension to make a simple shot?

No problem as long as the tip on your break shaft is one that allows you to shoot with draw, follow and side spin as well as center ball - you may need any one of those shots when using an extension.

Why can't you put an extension on your D series?
For your Cue guy.
Take off the bumper, make a cup holder for it and bore thru the washer in the bumper so it will allow a 1/4x20 screw to go thru it freely.
Then drill and tap 1/4x20 into the weight bolt. Glue the bumper into the butt by putting glue on the stem of the bumper and make your extension with the 1/4x20 screw in it. If you like McDermott s extension, you'll have to change the weight bolt to one that will accept thier extension screw.
