Hey everyone, been on a short hiatus from pool this summer. Good to be back.

I am within the process of moving and have called the place I bought my table ( no not a sauna shop PTM :) ), and they want $550+ to move my table.

A bit extreme I am thinking, but I dont have anything to compare this against. What is a fair price in yoru area?

And... do any of you knwo someone if the Seattle Area who can move/re-felt my table for me? I could break it down and set it up myself, but this time I want to re-felt and have the pockets worked in the process, so I want a pro to do it.

What is a fair price for this work guys and gals?

Thanks,
Ryley

The 550 ain't soundin so bad with all the stuff your wanting done.

What exactly is the 550 quote for?
Taking it apart..........Moving it.........Setting it back up.......New Cloth?.....Shim the Pockets?

Also..........If I were you I would break it all down yourself. You could save some if you know what your doing, which I would think you know how to take it down.

That really aint so bad when you add everything up. That seems about right........Not sure how much the Simonis is right off hand but it is high. You could save 100 prolly is you take it apart yourself, and get it in a pile for the guys to pick it up............or move it yourself too. That will save some too.

here in vegas my company charges $425.00 to tear down move refelt(w/ championship) and set back up. add $150 for simonis. shimming pockets i would do at my shop and charge $50. i don't know how i compare to the rest of the country

For everything you are getting done, that's down right reasonable...

On a 9' in California you can expect to pay

$500 for a move and recover in Simonis (under 50 mi. drive)
Plus an additional 50-75 for the pockets.

And that is for a B+/A- mechanic....

If you want an A+ mechanic, the numbers go up

The question you need to ask, is do you want it done right, or do you want it done cheap...usually when it comes to table mechanics, it's one or the other.
