Fake Omen on Ebay?

Now I'm not very up on Omen cues and he is stating this is 10 years old but I've never seen an Omen with the name on the butt or with a piloted SS joint.

Pete has made a number of SS jointed cues, I'm not sure about the name on the butt cap so I sent the link to him to verify...good find at that price no doubt!!

That IS one of Pete's cues, we just spoke and he confirmed it!!
 
Old school Omen's had the engraved logo on the butt cap though I've never seen this logo. Kinda cool.

Another sure signt that this isn't a fake... who would fake an Omen? I mean, I love Pete's cues! I've had several. But if you're going to sell something as a fake, why not make a huge name!
 
hey, i didn't say it was a fake I only wondered if it was a fake as I've never seen that logo or a SS joint on an omen.

(but if i was going to fake a cue i'd do a mid-level cue/cuemaker. too high end/high profile would bring too much attention and everyone would want the COA.)

two questions:

has anyone ever seen a fake on ebay? just curious if this is actually even something to be concerned about.

anybody hit with an omen with an SS joint? wondering about the hit on this one...

(it's still kinda cheap...)

Yes. I've hit with a SS joint omen. Its a solid hit and you can't go wrong. I've owned old Omens and newer ones (but all were before he 'adopted' the SW style). They hit great. And they really are solid cues for the money.

As for fakes on ebay. Sure. Fake Omens? Never. There have been Fake Southwests up there before and a slew of cues that people try and pass off as another, more valuable cuemaker's work.
 
I LOVE OMEN CUES!!!!!!!!!!! This has me interested. I have neaver hit with that style pin in a OMEN.
