Falcon AC-15 J/B Varner edition age?

Hello all:) I have just purchased my first J/B cue. It is a used stick but in excellent condition. The price was right for my budget and I hope it performes well.

The cue is a Falcon AC-15 with Nick Varner world champion written on it. I am just wondering how old this cue is from when it was new? Is it a few years old or older than that? I am just trying to gauge the age of it. I don't see any cues like this with Nick Varner world champ written on it being sold on the internet anywhere so I am assuming it is a dis-continued version. Thank-you for any help as I appreciate it alot.

I think the Falcon JB's had Nick Varner - World Champion written on them in the early and mid 90's. Haven't seen them since. Don't really know when they started printing them. I bought my Falcon JB back in 1995, without the text.

Thank-you for your reply mjantti it helps alot!

To anyone who knows these falcon cues well I have another question.

When I take the jump section apart ( the section with the o-ring) on my Falcon AC-15 cue, the female threaded hole and the mating male thread of the joining part has not been made in the center. It is off-center slightly and it is readilly seen by rotating the cue while looking at these mating areas. When I connect the two pieces they come together perfectly and are true in aligment. Is this normal for the falcons?

thanks again to anyone who may reply.

Mine is perfectly straight and I've never seen an off-center female part with those Falcons. Used to be very good quality imho.

I have taken a picture so you all can see what it is that I am talking about see below,,,,,

In the above picture the female joint offset is very subtle but still noticable in a still picture. It is even more noticable when you rotate the cue round and round.

Interestingly, the male thread is also offset like this female one. When you screw the two joints together they come together in perfect allignment with each other and create a true wobble free joint.

Has anyone els seen this in the J/B falcon models or do I have a "wierd" cue or something? At least the cue rolls straight I guess. Thanks
