Hi Forum Participants -

I just received yesterday a special order fancy Bill McDaniel cue on order for some time. It has four floating ivory points separated by floating ivory ovals. Fancy ivory work in ebony butt sleeve, "dogbone" rings in C, D, E positions. This is a collector's cue. I plan to list on eBay this weekend. Cue retails in the "high 3's" and I'll set the reserve at $2400 which is $500 below my discounted price on azcues.com. If anyone is interested in this cue in a pre-listing private sale, please contact me at edscott@azcues.com. Here's a link to some pictures - thanks for viewing.

I don't know if its an optical illusion or just the pics themselves, but everything looks a little bent in the pics, the shafts and forearm. Could be the glare too.

You have a good eye! I didn't notice it at first. I added a couple of straight line bars to the photos and there is definitely a bow to the photos.

Now I have to figure out why. Probably the camera angle or camera setup or (gosh hope not) camera itself. Not the cue - all three pieces are perfectly straight and cue rolls perfectly.

Thanks for the observation -

More info

This cue was started by Bill over 15 years ago and stayed in his shop until January or this year when he finished it for a friend of the family. Bill describes it as a "one of a kind" that has never been made before and never will be made again (in part due to huge ivory content).

Thanks to JR for the thoughtful offer and you are close to rock bottom but that far below the reserve would be a too painful loss. Meet me half way and we might swing it!

Regards,
Ed
