Fast Larry v Mark Tadd

I don't understand why people try to lump others into some category. FL and Mark have nothing in common as far as I'm concerned. I like Mark's posts and hope he continues to post on here. FL was a nightmare! His problems were:

1. He was constantly in a flame war with multiple people not just one at a time.
2. His posts were beyond lengthy.
3. He knew everything about pool and beyond.
4. He was intolerant of anyone having an opinion unless that opinion coincided with his.
5. He had multiple personas which was kind of scary if you ask me.

I resent it when people say that there are a bunch of people here that do anything alike. Everyone here, imo, is unique and has something to offer. FL got carried away, big time. He got kicked off twice and Mike does tolerate a lot so that should tell you something.

This is a pool forum where the focus should be on pool. I don't want to come to a forum and have to wade through some lunatics crazy posts that are book-like in order to find a few good words about the sport I love. If this attitude on my part is off the hook then maybe it's time for me to leave. I'm getting really tired of this FL was okay routine and then when he's back he's got to go crap. He's gone, okay! Get over it!

TheOne,
Let us all know before you arrive. If you are travelling on a budget, there's always free room, meals, and pool here in Indy.

Hi Willie, thanks for that very kind offer, if I'm in the area I would love to, are there many comps your way May - July time?

Last Two, thanks I shall do my best

It's political, believe me. Mike does tolerate a lot, except Fast Larry. Go talk to Fast and get the inside story. Sure, the situation would have anyone believe that FL deserved to be kicked off, and IMHO, a lot of others would be kicked off if same yardstick would be used in every instance. Larry's being kicked off was to due others besides Mike. Of course, nobody here will believe me.

Regards, WW

I knew there was a conspiracy involving FL's ban. I think all of those crazy, novel-sized posts that he would make any time anyone would disagree with him were forged. You know the posts I'm talking about - the whole "you're (actually, FL probably spelled it 'your', but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt) a bozo who can't run 3 friggin' balls. I'll sick my wonder dog on your ass." thing. Maybe Mike wrote them himself! On the subject of Mark Tadd, you guys should feel good about yourselves since it looks like Mark hasn't posted in a while. I knew you guys could do it. I had faith in your abilities all along.

Well, I hope we haven't run him off. He is one of the baddest MFers to play the game.

Wasn't he saying he was gonna go to TX for a tourney last weekend? It's only Tuesday...I don't see him as the airplane type...

It's not "you guys"....it's YOU that ran him off. It's your god*#mn fault! You asked him the damn unanswerable question! :p

Yeah I agree, you had to go ask him a damn pool question!

Nah just kidding he seems like a decent bloke, and nowhere near as bad as Mr Larry. Although for a while there I was having some flash backs!

But I do think FL did contribute some useful knowledge to to the board, even if only about 10% and hidden in a novel somewhere! :-)

Hmm, I didn't think of that! :D

By the way, if anyone thinks this site is slow normally, you should try posting with a PDA over a cellular connection!

I tried that last year when I was out of work and sat on Bondi beach LOL - painful but amazing what you can do nowadays!

PS
Jimmy, was it you that beat Johl Y in Reno last year, we never met but I think it was you? I had met Johl in Vegas for the first time, he was playing Edwin M for cash on the bar boxes(9 ball) in Vegas quite a bit. I think Johl was quite a bit up at one point but I'm not sure how he ended up, any ideas? I know Edwin wouldn't play him on the big tables though without weight which seems suprising as it sounds like he's a top player?

Yeah, I drew Johl in the first round. It was kind of funny because I didn't recognize his name, and I left my room thinking I was on my way for a soft match. It wasn't long after he had some of the "name players" stopping by to say hi before their first round matches, and I saw him hit a couple racks, that I realized he was no newcomer to the game, and I had probably misjudged my "soft match". :D As it turns out, I won by a score of 9-5, but I know he's a good player and it could have went the other way. I wasn't there in Vegas when he matched up with Edwin, but I heard that he matched up with a lot of tough players during that tournament. I'm not sure how they would play on the big table. Ironically, it was Edwin who beat me 9-5 in my first loss of that tournament. I sort of liked Johl's style a little more than Edwin's only because it seemed more controled. Edwin was got out of line quite a bit while playing against me, but he just kept coming with monster shots to get back in line and get out. He broke really well against me also. I haven't seen enough of either of their games to pick a favorite to win though. Is Johl coming out again for the next Sands tournament? It starts in 2 weeks.

I don't think so, the last I heard he had given up snooker (he has been on the tour the last few years but didn't really break through). I'm not sure if he is going to play 9 ball but I think he would do quite well if he did. Obviously coming from a snooker background his potting and control are excellent.

It is such a shame that all of you people who claim to hate FL just couldn't bear not to read his posts. If you hated the guy so much why didn't you just list him in your ignore folder and then the rest of us could have enjoyed him.

Or is it just that you are tyring to impress the board by pointing out his faults? I guess that is easier than impressing people in the real world. Or the monkey in the mirror.

Heh Drivermaker. I really don't want to see you get kicked off. It may sound a little funny and like I am pointing a crooked finger, but I am sincere. I am only blasting Mike in a round about way, so don't take it personally. I actually enjoy everyone's posts here, no matter how flamey they may get. Just worried about you blowing a fuse though. Take it easy! WW.

If I'm not worried...you shouldn't worry. Ohhhmmmm....Ohhhmmmm.....Ohhhmmmmm.....Ohhhmmmmm

That meditation stuff really works great.

I feel very relaxed now and ready to come back out and stomp somebody's head into the ground. In the future, read a little more in depth before you post. The next pulverization...could be you. ;) :D

P.S. The next time you want to blast Mike, don't do it in a round about way. He's a big boy and can handle whatever is thrown at him. Try it by way of a PM directly. I've done it a few times with him and he's always been quick to reply and never failed to answer. Don't drag me or someone else into your gripe.
