Feedback on Seybert's Gold Crown pockets.

I've got a GC2 I'm doing some work on, new Brunswick Super Speed cushions and Shark Grey 860 cloth. The original pockets are showing some age, got some cracks and missing chunks but overall not horrible. I saw Seyberts has some replacement pockets for just $70, any feedback if they're any good?

I had a guy buy them for his table a couple months ago also a GC2. They fit fine but the ball doesn't always go through the hole in one of the side pockets. I will say there's the same problem once in awhile on an original corner pocket where I play, usually when it's a soft hit. I think it sometimes can happen if the rubber is a little out of shape. I told the guy to keep a ball in the shoot of the pocket when he's not playing to help it's memory. I'll have to check in with him and see how it's going.

So you're talking about the ones with the ball return. My table is just drop pockets so would stick with those. Is he happy with the material they're made from? No issues with marking the balls?

I was talking about ball return pockets, so not sure about the drop pockets. The material is fine and no marking on the balls with them.

They are a hard plastic. They'll work, but I don't like them.

Try these:

They are rubber. No ball marking, that I've ever seen. Though, they are more than double the price.

These are the best reproduction Gold Crown pockets on the market. I had the drop pockets before I converted my table to ball return and now use their gullies. In this case, you get what you pay for.
