How do we check on the feedback from previous members dealing with other members. Whether good and bad feedback. I think it would be a good idea to start one.

Depends on what you're talking about.... if it's buying & selling, the best I can tell you is do a search of their screen name in the for sale forum and see what comes up. Check out all the threads & see if there's good or bad postings about the person.
If you're talking popularity.... your own judgement should be used. I judge people by how they treat me and how I see them treat others. If you think someone is full of BS but you're not sure.... just watch how the rest react to them. There are a few trolls on here but they're easily identifiable.
