Viattorre on Ebay

I have decided to sell it on eBay <--link

I haven't been on here in a long while cuz I have pretty much given up the game, I sold my table, and most of my cues, now I am down to two and thinking about selling one or both of them. I have a custom wrapless Jacoby cue that was my main playing cue, birsdeye and cocobola, birdseye joint, two shafts, it's in OK shape for a daily driver. Then I have my pride and joy, a custom Viattorre cue that came in earlier this year, a stunning cue, you've prolly never seen a design like this. It took Jack and I about 3 months to design it almost a year to make it. Something like 12 points, 6 high and low in cocobola with maple/ebony/maple veneers, with a matching cocobola midsection, ebony forearm and butt, 50 ivory inlays, yes 50! It's almost breaking my heart writing this post. But as much as I love it, it is just sitting there in my case. It's not getting appreciated at all. i will post some pics of the both of them later tonight I guess when I get home so you can see what I am talking about. If I do sell it, I know someone on here would appreciate it more so than someone off of eBay. That is important to me, much more than the money it will command.

What joint on the Jacoby if you don't mind me asking? You say birdseye joint, so I assume you mean 3/8-10 wood to wood?

Crawdaddio-
I quit because I no longer had the means to get any better. I had to sell my house, and consequently my table. That put a hurting on my game a lot. I went from practicing every day to like 3 times a week, now it's been months since I picked up a cue, and I can't see me getting back into it. I just dont have the desire like I used to.

Shorty-
Yes, it is a wood to wood joint, but the collar is not the normal SS with the piloted joint that most Jacoby's have, this is a birdseye collar and a flat faces joint. I will post the pics tonight to better explain.

Viattorre Pics

I suck at taking pics, well my camera is what really sux, I will try and get better ones for those seriously interested. Now that I have it in front of me I can better describe it.

There are 12 points in reverse, 6 high and 6 low with maple/ebony/maple. The uniqueness about this design is that the high and low points are of equal length. The points and the handle are cocobola, the forearm and butt are ebony. Each point towards the butt and the joint are topped off with a fancy ivory diamond. The revers points heading towards the handle are capped off with a regular diamond, that's another 12 ivory inlays. Those diamond points in the handle area have different fancy ivory inlays surrounding them, 6 high and 6 low totalling 48 ivory inlays.

The joint is wood to wood with the big brass Southwest style pin. Matching joint protectors, cocobola tops with a black phenolic base and a dozen or so cocobola inlays that match up to the cue and shafts. I love Viattorres attention to detail. And the butt cap has the same design, just below the signature.

I figure this cue would fetch between $1500 - $2000 on ebay if I decided to go that route. Those interested please email me offers at jay@coqueran.com. I will keep everything confidential.
