Felt Glue Removal from Cushion

We are almost done with a restoration on an old Gandy table. I have a problem and im hoping there is a simple solution. When we took the cushions off the rails, some of the glue and felt stuck to the wooden rail piece. What is the best way to remove this? If I use a chisel its going to take wood with it. If I keep the glue/felt remnants still on it, the rails will be off a little. I was hoping that there is a chemical that will loosen the glue. Thanks for any help.

that chemical is called adhesive remover. put it on, let it sit for 10 minutes, scrap it off and repeat. make sure you sand the subrail before regluing the cushions.
