Is anyone familiar with these markings on felt "le qi cloth 668". I was told when I bought it it was championship tour edition felt. I'm kinda not believing them now that I got it home and looked at it? Anything would help. Thanks Anthony.

Cloth number

The Tour Edition is numbered 3030 and woven along one edge of the cloth in white. The cloth you identified is a product from China - their web site says it is low cost.

[/IMG]Be aware! A customer of mine purchased his own 8 foot cloth from eBay, this is what he got....It was precut, four rails cut correctly. But the last two rail precuts are of the width of the cloth, factory ends on both ends! Cloth has brand stitched down the factory edge- reads >> LE QI CLOTH 668

I work for West State Billiard Supply. we have that cloth along with Simonis and Tour Edition worsted cloths. That is definitely not Tour Edition.

That's the exact stuff I got (didn't realize until I got home) the bad thing is I can only get in store credit. How did that work out for your customer? Is it worth keeping? I really don't even want to deal with that store anymore.

le q1 668 chinese cloth

inexpensive; 90/10 cloth 90%wool - 10%nylon. surface is sheared smooth. weave is tight, does not open up upon stretching. i put this on my table so i could practice recovering. everything applied great. final look and play is as good as any cloth i played on. i wont compare it to the top brands other than to say for $100 it worth the price and the quality seems comparable to top brands.

now my thoughts: i've only had it on two days. a friend came over to play and he had no negative comments about this cloth. it does ten to show burn marks like any other cloth, in that i was disappointed. it tends to unravel at the edges where a seam is not sewn. this in itself isn't a problem once the ccloth is properly installed. its surface feels slicker than any other quality cloth i have played on when new. this may have caused some slidin of the balls but did not destroy the game play. given two years from now i wonder how it will hold up. as for now i paid $100, got cloth that plays like simonis, and ive been playing serious gamble pool for 50 years. still one wants to know is it good cloth? only time will tell. gerald

chinese cloth

after two years i can say this chinese worsted wool cloth 668 (60%worsted wool 40%nylon) that i bought for $100on the recommendation of dealer, still plays well. has held up just fine, no scars, some burn in marks but honestly for as much as i practice every day on this table the burn marks are far less drastic then either simonis (all types) and championship 3030. in the laast 15 years i have used those. this time i am going to buy another piece of this cloth b/c it was worth the bucks, played well, did not breakdown with time, held its tightness, and definetly got my moneys worth. of everyone who played on my table they did not know this was not a top brand cloth and i only told them what it was after we finished playing. no one had any complaints and all were medium to high level players. the cloth can be located by googling :

leqi 668 cloth. or check with west state billiards, they may still be selling it.

this round i am going to buy the 778 cloth (70%worsted wool, 30 nylon) which by wool/nylon content is more comparable to simonis 760 and championship tour edition.
the chinese cloth is 21oz weight while the other two are about the same weight but championship is slightly heavier than either of the others.

that is about it. have questions get back to me. IMHO we pay way to much for a name when other makers of worsted wool cloth is out there only harder to find. like before i will put this on myself.

there are
