With all the ferrrule materials out there, it kinda gets confusing as to which ferrule would best fit someone's game. Could you guys explain the differences in the most popular ferrules. I'm not looking for scientific stuff, just things like hardness, hit, durability, etc. Thanks

LBM, linen base melamine, very hard and makes a sound. Great for breaking. Or playing perhaps with a softer tip. Stays very clean as it is non-porous.
Ivorene, softer and more porous than LBM. Plays very well imo.
Ivor-X, softer than LBM, and hits very nice and quiet. Very quiet and does not absorb chalk and is non-porous.
Buckhorn, a little softer than Ivor-X ( on our hardness scale, it registered 45 while Ivor-x registered 48) but very durable and plays well. Much more stable than ivory imo.
