Ferrulle Question

I just bought a new cue at SBE and the ferrulle is not the right length its 1.25 inch and wrong type of material but everything else on it is perfect. I want to swap it out and either cut it to 3/4 of an inch and replace it with a LBM (Melamine). Instead of cutting I wanted to know if you all had any recommendations of what ferrule to replace it with and get the same sweet hit and squirt factor as a 3/4 inch Melamine. But, in the 1.25 inch lenght.
