Fiber TIp Pad Question

I like the look of a red fiber tip pad between the cue tip and the ferrule. I've considered installing one on my next tip change but a question is nagging me. Would it affect performance (it's very light so it may not induce more deflection)? Anything I should worry about if I decide to install one? What would be the effect of installing two (a red and a black) on the same cue shaft?

Tip pads do change the feel of the hit very slightly. You may feel it is an improvement or you may feel it is not an improvement. Or you may not notice any difference at all. If you have a super hard ferrule or a super soft ferrule the change will be more noticable.
