First "official" day back...and a review.

Went to shoot today. ran about an hour's worth of drills and then shot a few games with my girlfriend.

I hit pretty strong considering no serious play in years. There was a guy there that hit well also. He spent some time watching, and listening to us(I'm advising my girl on the ins and outs of the game) while we played.
Looked like he was gonna ask to shoot a set until the hall owner came by to chat with me...asked where I've been, and if I planned to play in the upcoming tourney season. He seemed to be uninterested after that.

All in all, we had fun. felt great to shoot again.

I'm no pro, and I don't want to come off sounding like some pool god, but my mechanics were still very good. After a 4 year layoff, I still ran several racks. I felt good in my stance, my eye was spot on, and follow through and staying down for the whole shot seemed to come natural. I didn't have to work at it at all.

The only negative to come out of the day was after almost two hours, I still had no control of my speed. I went past my position many times.

My break was better than good. Rock control, and two to three in on the snap each time.

I've been bitten again, and can't wait to get back in the game completely!

Thanks guys and girls for such a cool forum!
