Fischer vs Valley

Fischer vs Valley slate. Are they interchangeable?

I have a 7' Fischer that I bought about 5 years ago on Craigslist for $50. Obviously it wasn't the most attractive looking table, but figured I could throw in the basement and use for drills. I have a few spots of interference, but can use a short cue to manage a few shots. Once I got it set up, discovered 2 of the rails were completely shot. Now I was extremely limited on what drills I could do and decided the money to fix would cost more than the table was worth and what I wanted to spend and decided not to do anything with the table. Now, about a year and a half ago, my main poolroom bought all diamonds and has me wanting something more to practice with as opposed to just shooting a few shots into the pockets. I have the opportunity to get a Valley very cheap or possibly even free. They believe the slate is fine, but not 100% positive. My question is, will the slate on my Fischer work on the Valley if it is damaged? Hell, even if it isn't, and the slate is interchangeable, it would save me the trouble of carrying the new slate downstairs and the old upstairs. The photo I'm attaching is not mine, but a very similar looking. Not at home and wanted to ask this before I forget and waste several days before I remember. Appreciate any input.

I forgot to add that I plan to get the Ridgeback Rails for the Valley.
