There was some big match ups this morning, I lost my 1st match to Steve Knoll and then went out to Morris, Morris then lost hill hill to Earl. Earl now plays Tommy Kennedy who lost to Bill Ferguson. Ferguson takes on buddy Hall for the hotseat as he has just sent Steve Knoll to the one loss side in another hill hill match. steve knoll will now face Josh Degler. I hope this thread has come out ok as I have typed it from my phone.

LOL, it came out fine. Thanks for the update Tony. I hope all is going well. Are you going to Vegas??
 
Josh Degler run was brought to an end by Bill Ferguson, Josh beat Tommy Kennedy , 8-5 and then lost to Bill Ferguson by the sam score.
Bill is playing Buddy Hall now for the title, he is currently leading 6-2 as well this will be one of the biggest wins of Fergusons career. He has been very sick in the last 12 months and had to take 3 or 4 months away from the game.

Congrats to Bill Ferguson, he beat Buddy Hall 9-7 in the final. Mike should have the full story up soon I will also post somthing on my site.
I have rated Bills game since i met him, I am amazed when I hear people knock his game this may just make a few people take note

Thanks Tony C, for the reports on the tournament....this is what is great about this forum.....we have some connections to what is happening in the pool world.....
 
Just got home...

Good weekend to WATCH for me...my play was substandard. Plenty of players, champions old and new. The room owner did a great job, tables played great and Tony, well he can play...trust Voodoo.

Sometimes the time off from this game is just what the DR ordered. I saw Bill go Hill Hill w Archer at VF and that was a ball better than id seen him play. Good for him. He deserves it for sure.

Buddy Hall Vs B Ferguson final huh? Was this a senior event ?

I know they were rolling back the years. The event realy was a great one even though i didnt win it.
Room owner Joe did a fantastic job and realy made everyone one feel welcome. The tables played great and the field was just full of great players,
Players as strong as Mike Davis, Richie Rich, Dave grossman just to mention a few never even made it thru to the sunday, Earl went Hill Hill atleast 4 times and thats entertainment.
All in all a great weekend.
 
When Bill played in Gainesville last year I overheard him say he was playing much better now that his illness is behind him. Looks like he was right. Good for Bill. I wish him the best, he sure does work hard for the tour. No more 2nd class citizen status for Bill, they will all be gunning for him now. LOL.

Hmmmm

Maybe that why I was able to beat Bill 3-0 in a local tourney at the cue last year. I had no idea he was sick...he complained the whole time about his back when I was playing him, but I was running balls pretty well that day.

But as far as that pool room owner Joe, he does not get my business. Anybody that judges me that harshly cause I am in a wheelchair will NEVER get my business. I admit he has the nicest tables in the county, but all he is running is a drug joint from the past times I was in there about two years ago with all the kids and rap music blaring. Wish that place would be cleaned up and he would run off the riff raff.
