I thing we need to define some kind of cue condition. Everything is mint, flawaless, perfect condition, really? or playable. . .what is playable condition?

Personally, I think condition for cues can be defined as original surface condition percentage + notes of damage.

For example: A cue is in as new from maker condition, but the tip has been chalked or it has hit a few balls. That is like 98 - 99% condition, IMO.

A cue has been a regular player. The shaft is 99% dent free, but there is a 8mm surface scratch on the butt and the bumper has dirt on it. This is about 95% IMO. Most of my cues are like this. This is because the joint has been seasoned by use. There is probably a shaft bump which I have not repaired, etc

A cue has been a regular player, ferrule has chalk ring, etc...back to work!!!
