Florida Pro Tour Official 10-Ball Rules

Many have asked where the official 10-Ball rules are on the web. The only thing I could find was some strange rules saying that on the break "The cue-ball must hit the APEX red ball". So I called TD John DiToro, and he sent me the official rules to post on my site.

That quote is from the strange 10-Ball rules that are posted on several sites. The quote is NOT part of the official Florida Pro Tour 10-Ball rules.

Does anyone know the significance of the mandatory placement of the 2 & 3 balls on the bottom corners of each rack?

I believe it is supposed to make it harder to run out. Ditoro used to have us move the 2 ball to a specified spot as well for the same reason in 9-Ball.

Hint: It makes no real difference if you have a strong break where the balls are placed in the rack.
