Food at Valley Forge

How bad was the food at the valley forge expo center? The pizza was cold and small. the pretzels were hard. dont even think about the hot dogs.

i got a good laugh watching all the out-of-towners order up what they thought would be a legit philly cheesesteak. looked more like beefaroni slapped on a bun.
 
The food stand down stairs was ok. They had really good chicken tenders there. But you cant really complain about the food their as you have so many options in that area to choose from including 2 really nice steak houses.

It was funny, friday after the afternoon pro session we went to Bennigans down the road to get some dinner. We were sitting at the bar and looked over and saw Immonen, Hundal and Chohan eating there too.

Plus the complex itself has 2 nice restuarants in it. The one had a great breakfast buffet with omlets cooked to your liking. If you were eating at the expo all four days it would probably suck, but there were plenty of options outside of it.

Yeah, I thought the Velveeta on the Philly cheesesteak was pretty cheap. Surprised they didn't substitute spam for the meat. Or maybe they did...:o

My understanding is that "authentic" philly cheesesteak's use a cheeze wiz, cheese sauce, product.
 
If you are working at the show you don't really have time to go offsite. The food selection was pretty bad, but for an expo what do you expect?
 
I expect the vending stand in the upstairs to at least have a microwave. they did not, hence the cold pizza.

Uh, I went for take out every day I was there. I woulda gotten you something if you wouldn't have given Timberly all your nuts. :mad: Maybe she can do it next year. ;)

It looked like you were enjoying those snawsages anyway. :eek:

I might've gotten the nuts but I didn't get to eat 'em.... just ask Koop & ScottR :rolleyes:

Holy crap, they served food there?
I was too busy making trips to Hooters to notice...

Oh yeah, the nuts were definitely the nuts :-)

Okay, this sounds really, uh, okay...:rolleyes:

So basically, you're owed a bag of nuts for being generous and sharing. Unlike a certain pro player and his cue sponsor whose stories happened last year. It was hilarious.

Trust me, you will be compensated.;)

The chicken fingers, hotdogs and salads with chicken on them were okay. The food courts in the mall are the best places around to find food that is not real expensive. I exhibit so I don't have the luxury of getting lunch out. I saw Domino's delivering pizza to the rooms. Not a bad idea. Wish they could bring it to your booth.

I found that this year the service at Chumley's stunk. Their food wasn't that great either. I did enjoy breakfast at the place next to Chumley's (I forgot the name "Sun" something I think?)
 
You guys need to forget everything, and go to the K.O.P. mall around the corner from the expo, and go to the CHEESECAKE FACTORY.
You might just bail on the expo, and sit there stuffing your face for the entire 4 days!

If it's got to be a cheeseSTEAK, then it's got to be WIZ WITH, and forget PAT'S or GINO'S, go to JIM'S! You go to Pat's and Gino's, your talking.... BLAND steak.
