***THIS IS A REPOST***

Hey Gang,

I'm posting a cue up forsale for one of my best friends. Jack is a stand up guy to deal with and I will stand by his reputation with my own. He's already done several deals with some AZ members. It is preferred that you contact him directly to do a deal. However, if necessary, you may contact me as well. Here goes!

Late model Omega/dpk cue in original condition. This is the one that started our (Jack and I) obsession with Omega/dpk cues.

Dark wood (maybe ebony but has reddish coloring, could also be rosewood, possibly even cocobola) into birdseye maple.
5 points with 4 veneers; white, light brown, red, black - in to out.
Flat faced wood to wood joint. 3/8-14 pin. Joint rings are double silver with paired silver dots.
Black with white speck linen wrap. Silver stitch rings above and below the wrap.
Ringwork at the butt matches joint ringwork - double silver with paired silver dots.
Two shafts with linen ferrules, original tips - light play on both.
Joint protectors for butt, and shafts included.

Standard 58"
Both shafts weigh 3.7 oz.
One is 12.87mm, the other is 12.85mm - rarely see Omega's with full shafts.
Butt weighs 15.4 oz.
Total weight with either shaft is 19.1oz.
Everything rolls straight.

Everything on this cue is original. Original finish. Original wrap. Original tips. Original 3 piece joint protectors. Cue has seen some light play but is super clean. No nicks or dents in the finish. Omega stopped producing flared butts during late production. This is possibly one of the last Omega/dpks out of the shop and does not have a flared butt. As with all Omegas, this cue hits a ton. Nearly impossible to find one of these cues in mint condition, with full shafts, and a nice playing weight.

Whitten 1x2 black smooth leather case INCLUDED in this sale. Case has shoulder strap and 1 pouch for your pool goodies.
Asking $2200 shipped or best offer domestic US.

You may contact Jack directly at: jckflee@hotmail.com
or you can contact me via PM or chef_iron@hotmail.com

Outstanding. Wish the price was about $1k less. I like the silver dots...very unusual.

Regards,

Doug

I have never seen an Omega/ DPK with that type of ring work or without the flared butt cap.

Ricky, nice cue, well described, and a 100% original final year production Omega. Good luck with your sale.

After Mike Bender left Omega/dpk to start his own cue business in Alaska, Omegas were no longer made with the flared butt-cap. Mike's brother, Matt Bender took over his place at Omega/dpk. Matt and Kersenbrock were experimenting with new ringwork and inlays before the company abruptly folded.

I personally had one Omega/dpk which was pretty much the sister cue to the one forsale here. Same 5 point layout with silver type ringwork and no flared butt-cap.
