I have a couple of custom cues I've taken in trade on my cues. I don't usually take trade-ins, but both of these cues are good, tasteful examples of their makers works and are in excellent used condition!
The Nova cue has 6 ebony points in cherry stained birdseye maple. It also has windows in the buttsleeve with ivory inlays matching those in the points. Stainless Steel piloted joint with 5/16X14 tpi. Weighs 19.5oz, shaft just under 13mm. Very nice cue by a well respected cuemaker!
The Southeast cue is birdseye maple with 4 ebony outlined birdseye points in the forearm and matching ones in the buttsleeve. Each point has a tulipwood and ivory inlay. Has a wood to wood phenolic joint with a 3/8X10 pin. Weighs 18.8 oz and the shaft is 13mm.
Both cues have black with white speck Irish linen wraps.
As I understand, and please correct me if I'm misinformed, Nubs Wagner, of Nova cues is no longer making cues (or at least his production is very small). Also, since Donald Bludworth has left Southeast cues and returned to Bluds shop, the production of Nat Green's Southeast cues is much less. Nat has many irons in the fire, owning a jam-up poolroom/night club and a recently opened billiards supply store as well. A man can only do so much!
If I were going to ebay the cues, I'd have a "buy it now" price of $800 on the Nova cue and $600 on the Southeast, but I thought I'd offer them to the AZ group first. I really don't like to put custom cues on ebay, I feel it often has a negative effect on the overall value of a custom cuemakers work. I'm open to offers and possibly even trades, but I'm absolutely not interested in modern production cues in trade with the exception of old "Titlist" cues or possibly OLD Palmers (or something of that nature) I'd make someone an attractive package deal on the two cues. You can PM, email me with any offers.
