This was a project with a local cuemaker way back in 2008, but he was not able to finish it. He's known as Hadj and I believe that he was also posting here before. I havent heard from him ever since. The cue butt was just hanging inside the closet for 5 years and i just decided to let tony bautista finish it last month.
Tony told me that the cue butt or should I say blank was constructed very solidly and he made an amazing job (as usual) on finishing this cue. Put a stainless steel joint sleeve and 3/8x11 southwest style pin, black fibra buttcap with white phenolic hoppe ring. Comes with his primo shaft with high concentration of rings/grains.
Other specs:
forearm: BEM (has small eyes and the grains are straight), cored with purpleheart
handle: granadillo
buttsleeve: maple burl
total length: 58 inches, 29-29
total weight: 18.80 oz (NO WEIGHT BOLT)
butt: 14.85 oz
shaft: 3.95 oz (premium grade hard rock maple, NOT LD)
tip diameter: 12.75 mm pro taper
tip: Master (pressed)
ferrule: half-inch turbo urethane
The cue has about 2-3 hours of play.
I wont tell how the cue hits. Just imagine how BEM cored with purpleheart with a stainless steel joint and premium grade hard rock maple shaft with as many grains/rings like this would hit. Yes, that is. Feel it yourself, you wont regret it.
SOLD
Please feel free to send me a PM for your other inquiries.
Thank you.
