Happy Derby City Classic Week, Freddy the Beard Fans!
This was Freddy’s FAVORITE two weeks of the entire year as it reminded him of his days at Johnston City. There’s no doubt it’s the most exciting pool tournament in the world all thanks to tireless promoter Greg Sullivan of Diamond Billiards.
Great news! After 4 long years, The Onepocket.org Hall of Fame dinner has returned to Derby City thanks to organizer Steve Both. Stepping in for the late emcee Freddy the Beard (who followed Grady ‘the Professor’ Matthews) are two hot shot players who spent time as kids on the road and in the pool room learning from and respecting the Legends. I’m talking about Scott “The Freezer” Frost and Shannon “The Cannon” Daulton. Outstanding choices!!!
Please check out the 5th edition of Freddythebeard.com which includes:
• The latest Dutch Voice column by: Pepijn de Wit – Pepijn predicts the success of young Russian star Fedor Gorst at Derby City!
• Keith “Keither with the Ether” McCready spotlight in Features: A video and excerpt from The Encyclopedia of Pool Hustlers, star of The Color of Money, being inducted in the Onepocket.org Hall of Fame tonight! Congrats, Keith!
• In Memoriam – Freddy the Beard Magazine salutes the late, great David Bond of American Billiard Radio and The Chicago Billiard Museum
• New York Times profile of Efren ‘Bata’ Reyes from 2002
• Bank on, Brother! Apparel includes short sleeved shirts! Check out all of our apparel including the sweatshirts and hoodies!
Hope you like the new products! All my love to the players, sweators and promoters at the DCC! Have fun, bet high and laugh loudly in honor of my Dad!
