Hi guys,

A buddy of mine is in town this week, and is looking for a nice used McDermott cue.

Nothing fancy, nothing expensive.....just a straight and sound McDermott to bring back home with him.

He's here for another week, so there's some time to find a decent one for him.....and I'd prefer to search for one HERE, rather than E-bay (which he's already checking on a daily basis).

I'm pretty sure he's got a Paypal account...but he could easily do a money order or check, too. Since he's living overseas right now, I could even Paypal the money to the seller, and settle up with him after the fact, shipping the cue to him myself.

Anybody got a nice McDermott that needs a new home? The guy's a pretty fair shot, used to have a D4 (back in the day), and is set on getting another McDermott to play with.

Hit me up if you've got something. Pics would be good, since I'm gonna e-mail them to him with prices and descriptions, too. His only requirements are 19-19.5oz, straight, and in respectable shape. All else is fair game!!! :)

try this one :) looks like you would save a great deal if you can win it by the minimum bid over using the buy it now... and the designer leather case is a bonus.. it will deffinatly hold its value over the next 20 years... i am sure it hits real good with the big 3/8x10 pin.. i used to have the Deer/Moose/Antelope version..it was my first cue.. it took me years to live down being called "DEER CUE" lol.. :) :)

just kidding... check it out.. you will get a good laugh anyways..

check with Sore_aintya.. he always has some older mcdermotts!

I sent him pics of both sets. Seems to me that those types of cues is what he's after.

How much are you asking for the ones with the dash rings? I assume they're gonna be a bit more than 110, right?

JWP - I just sent my boy the info.....he sounds REALLY interested in the medium brown cue with the dash ringwork.

More to come soon. I'll shoot ya a PM if it turns out that he's a buyer...and we can hash out the deal from there.

Asking price is the same, let me know if you are interested. The only bad thing is the tip is huge, but because of it it hits really strong.

Much appreciated for the response, but he's gonna want a cue in real good shape...and he's on a pretty tight budget. Having the shaft turned down and the cue refinished and rewrapped would be too much for him, I think.

That said, I did forward the info and pics on to him, so he could make that call for himself.

Mark. those mcdermotts with the dash rings are very nice in my opinion.. and also Jw is a great person to deal with.. you wont be sorry..

I've had a wrap done by JWP, a cue being built by JWP, and looks as though my buddy's gonna pick up a McD from him, too.

i hear you.. he put a wrap on a predator sp8 for me.. came out flawless.. one of these days, i would like to have him make me a cue.. sometime in the near future anyways..

Great deal on these cues, and I've gotta say I sell Mcdermott cues, but that price you cant beat on them cues. Gotta say JWP has a great price on them and from what I've heard and read he's a great guy as well. Rep Points for him :)

I do have some 'Older' McDermotts, but nothing inexpensive, which is what I believe Mark is looking for.
If your friend is looking for something in the $500+ range with collectivity to it, then by all means send me a PM, as I have a few C and D series 1980's McDermotts laying around.:D
