My long-suffering wife has agreed to park her car in the driveway so I have finally been able to put a 9' table in my garage. However the deal is I have to sell the 7' bar box me and the kids have been banging balls around on, so if you love pub-style playing, or simply don't have the room or budget for that Brunswick Marquette you've been hankering after then this might just be the table for you.
Attached are photos. A label affixed to the ball return ends claims provenance from "Quality Billiards, Santa Monica", a legenday company from a byegone era when men were real men and bar tables roamed free in the high grass and everyone always had exact change.
It most definitely will need new cloth on the bed and rails, and the rail rubber, whilst it feels quite sound to me, needs to be re-glued in some sections. The bed is one-piece slate and the shelf drop is very short and generous which makes for confidence building shot-making that will impress all your friends. The frame seems to be solid enough to me, there is some cosmetic damage to the surface of the legs pedestals. The ball return works but I have no key for the coin mechanism and have simply left it jammed forward for convenience.
Included is a fitted cover in genuine top-grain vinyl, pre-stained for your convenience with a variety of paints at my children's disposal. Also comes with a set of suitably beat up old balls and a giant bar box cue ball for that complete "APA at home" experience, although you will have to supply your own loud drunken crowd bumping your elbow as you are shooting every time the home team gets a touch-down.
