I have for sale a quality 60" Chuck Starkey cue which he dubbed "The Albatross" due to a pattern in the Bacote grain which looks like a seabird cruising over the ocean (see pic below). This is a solid cue due to the 1-piece Bacote butt, big wood pin paired with a nice old, honey-colored Brunswick shaft.
Here are the specifications:
Cue measures 60" long
Cue weighs 19.46 ounces
Shaft #1 (chalked) is 13 mm
Elk horn joint and buttcap - Slightly raised
** Includes 1x2 hard case. I notched and added felt to the lid to allow for the the 30" butt with long wood pin **
Butt is straight and has a small finish chip near the bumper. Shaft appears to be nearly dead straight, possibly has a slight roll to it. Shaft has a couple of minor dings but nothing major in the stroking area.
Shaft also has a dark line near the collar which looks like it might be a crack, but it doesn't make any sound and the cue plays perfectly fine. Chuck said it shouldn't pose a problem and offered to replace the shaft if it cracks. I'm not sure if this offer still stands or not.
If you're not satisfied with the cue for any reason you can return it within 7-days of receipt for a full refund less shipping costs.
Cue is now SOLD!
Here are a few pictures which detail the "crack" in the shaft. I'm not even certain it is a crack since it's a dark line which matches up with the wood grain, the cue doesn't make a rattling or buzzing noise and no crevice can be seen when sighting down the shaft. I did contact Chuck when I first noticed this and he stated it shouldn't pose a problem and to contact him if it became one.
