I have an extremely nice wrapless PFD for sale. The cue is all ebony with tulipwood points. This cue has an extremely rare Makume gane joint made with silver and copper. The cue is in near mint condition, with the only blemish I could find being an imperfection in the finish of the buttsleeve above the logo (pictured). This cue rolls straight together and apart. I spoke with Paul about this cue, and he told me that this cue is very special. He has only made one other cue with this kind of joint, and only has 2 more of these joints left. He told me that if he were to build this cue today, it would cost $2100 ($1800 base price +$300 for the joint), and that price was a "gift price".

"Mokume gane is an ancient Japanese technique, invented by Denbei Shoami (1651 – 1728), a master metalsmith; initially, it was used to decorate the handles of Samurai swords. Mokume gane involves bonding a great number of up to (and sometimes even more than) thirty alternating layers of metals such as silver, copper, gold and other precious and non-ferrous metals, stacked and carefully heated. The resulting solid billet of simple stripes may be hammered flat and folded to increase the pattern's complexity. Mokume gane is a slow, labor-intensive and precise process, which offers an immense number of unique combinations of metals, colors and patterns, that can never be repeated exactly."

Here's the specs:
- cue weighs approximately 20.5 ounces with either shaft
- 58.5" long
- both shafts are approximately 12.95mm
- one shaft has a Moori, the other has a Triangle
- G-10 radial pin
- double silver rings in all positions, as well as extra rings at the base of the points in forearm and butt
- five floating tulipwood points with spearheads, with inlaid points of ebony and tulipwood inside each
- forearm, handle, and buttsleeve are all ebony
- black phenolic buttcap with PFD logo

I am asking $1500 or best offer, no trades. Any questions feel free to contact me via PM.

Thanks,
Leland
