This cue is listed in the Bluebook Of Pool Cues 2nd Ed. on page 466. The cue is titled "The Premier". In 1964 the cue sold new for $50.00.

Bluebook values for this cue are:
98% - $900.00
90% - $500.00
70% - $375.00

I will take $300.00 or would consider reasonable trades.

A little about the cue: This cue is completely original except I replaced the ivory ferrule & tip, & I waxed the butt up. The ivory butt plate is cracked as the picture will show. I am also including a piece of ivory butt stock so the buyer may replace the buttcap if so desired at their cost, or you can just keep it original. The bumper and screw are also original. The butt and shaft are warped some, but I would put the overall condition of the cue at 90%. Would be a great piece for a collector who values unique cues.

Note: If buyer would decide to have the ivory buttcap replaced, we would be happy to replace it at an additional charge.

Dude,
I have to chime in on this one.
Sampaio cues were made in Portugal where I was born and this cue is about at least 60 years old. It is not the Premier series I don't think and if the but is good enough it would give an awesome conversion. All the carving is hand made.
What a closet find.
Paradise did a few of these conversions and those cues are rare and very thought after!
Good to see a Sampaio cue alive. That was one of the first custom cues I ever played with back in Sintra, Portugal.
One other thing that people don't know is that Senhor Sampaio did some of the best heated billiard tables I've ever played at.
