I am going to pick up this lathe. It is coming back into the DC area.
I would like to sell it. I have done a TON of research on this lathe,
and it is a once in a lifetime chance to own one like this. I just
don't have the skills to take care of it ''''''PROPERLY'''''. It is a true
antique, in unreal condition. Its a 9"x 30" but its short around 20"
between centers. the Bore is around a inch or a little less. Its a metal
lathe built in 1929. It is one of the very few lathes from this era that
is spec'd with power feeds. Thats why its not a gear change lathe, power feed lathes didn't have the gear change box. I have done extreme research on it, and the tooling included is worth 1500++ alone. For example, the milling attachment, the follow steady rest, taper attachment, is worth 400 alone
(if not more, i checked ebay) There is more items not even in the picture
that will come with it! Who knows what else will show up when i get it.
The little brass oil plugs, tell the story about how much the old owner
loved this lathe. It was kept in unreal condition.
I really want to keep this lathe, but want and need are two different things.
I need a lathe that i can transport, and make money with at local tournaments.
So here is what i'll do.....
Im going to pick it up.
I deliver this lathe to any place within 400 miles of DC for asking price.
If you live further, your going to drive some to meet me.
Payment to paypal tonight...
I really dont want to break up this set, as it took some person a LONG time
to get all this tooling. But i could sell it on ebay and make more, no doubt about it......
2000.... tonight only. I will deliver the lathe this weekend
within 400 miles of DC area. (give or take)
If i can't find someone that will respect, and take care of this unit i'll do it.
But i would prefer a real metal worker/cue maker too keep it as his/her show piece.
PM me with any questions.
