so.......HOW are full splice cues made ??...........machines, cutters etc.........any pics, vids out there ?????
My book has a section in it on how to do full splice cues. I think Arnot and Murray Tucker have some pictures on their sites that might help you out. Most people use a band saw to cut the prongs into the handle. On the forearm side of things people have made that half with a lathe and router, milling machine, table saw, radial arm saw and a shaper. All of these machines have to be set up special to do the job. The better the jigs set up on them the easier and better the job. In my book I show the simplist way of doing it while the handle is still square. This is not best, but easiest to do with the least amount of equipment and jigs.LOU'S CUE'S said:so.......HOW are full splice cues made ??...........machines, cutters etc.........any pics, vids out there ?????

Murray Tucker said:I have put up pictures here. You should be able to do a search and find them. They are kind of obsolete now because I have changed my methods. Everything is done while the wood is square now. My jigs and cutting machines are top seceret so there is no pictures of them.
William said:Murray, about the top secret part. At one, wasn't there a shop tour on your site or something simliar in reference to just the machines. OR am I losing my mind ?
Murray Tucker said:There was. I have changed my shop around and built/added more machines. As soon as I get off my ass and clean up the shop I will take more pictures.
