I believe Hercek and Tascarella still make them but what other cue makers do?

Mark Bear comes to mind. I'm sure there are others as well. I think some custom makers will do them on request.

What are you looking for? Butterflycues (Pat Diveney form Diveney Cues)

this is an interesting problem of definition. i don't consider butterfies as "splices". they neither interweave, nor do i think they necessarily join "two pieces". to my second definition, i think butterflies are merely pieces of wood stuck to another piece.,,,while a splice is like "joinery" as in,,,"well here i have two pieces and i want to join them together." hard to explain, but, you know what i mean??

and most definitely, a butterfly is not a FULL splice.

Just interested for future reference.

I read somewhere where Tascarella is going to stop making full-splice cues when he runs out of the blanks he has now.

It got me wondering who else makes them?

Also other questions come to mind like are blanks hard to get? Where do they get blanks and who makes them?

Do you think this is a dying art, as making full-splice cues is a more difficult process?
