I don't post much here as I am more of a read and learn type of guy. But my heart really goes out to all the victims of Katrina. My family and I were in the flood in NC in '90 and we lost everything. But it was nothing compared to the damage and destruction of Katrina. I would really like to start some type of fund raiser in the forum and challege any and all of AZers to match my contribution of $50.
If this is possible we could assign someone to handle the funds or setup some type of account to sent funds to. This would have to be someone we all trust and I really can think of two people (I don't know many) Mike himself or Purdman. I really beleive Purdman is one of the most trust-worthly human alive. I'm ready to sent my $50 today. I would send more but I plan on donating at many areas.
I don't know if this can be done but I really hope and pray that it can. People, "If we can come together and send a player to the US Open...then I know we can raise money for these people".
Mike, if I'm out of line here...I'm sorry! I just had to try and help these people anyway possible. I will be doing this same project at my job and hopefully at the local businesses.
Thanks for your time and please consider helping. And thank you to all the people that have already helped.
