Saw this today:
Francis is at the Military Academy playing pool with the Commandant. All the fellas are standing around. The C sinks the 8 accidentally and then scratches.
Francis confronts him telling him he could have made that shot. The C says that he is trying to lose the match. Francis tells him that if he beats the C, the fellas will kick his ass (I came in late - don't understand). The C says that's just icing on the cake...
So Francis decides to beat him at his own game, and they each proceed to scratch on every shot. It was wild to see a game where 'winning' was considered losing. They played several games and at the end one fella says, "Who won?" and the other fella says, "Who cares?" And I started thinking about how hard it would be to play a game like that, where you had to scratch on every shot....
Not a bad scenario for a sitcom... although if they think ANYONE'S going to believe that Francis can Masse... oh well. I can suspend disbelief for a cool show like MiM.
