Fury Cues

Ok, i was at a Fury Tour stop this past Saturday 3-12-05 and one of the directors, who i talk to often had some Fury cues out, and also had a couple of the Fury J/B cues.

so i took one of the J/B cues to a table and broke a couple racks, and it hits them nice ! even did a couple jumps with it, and it jumped so easily. And for the price she gave me, it seems like a well worth buy.

Now, i also hit with a couple of the playing cues, and found one that kinda caught my eye. So i asked her about it and she gave me a price, and it really made me interested in buying it also. Figuring i can get two cues for less than i would have payed for the playing cue alone lol.

Anyways, i am curious as to hear if anyone has any comments on the Fury cues, how it plays, hit, shaft flex, feel, etc, etc, etc.

I only did a couple test hits with the cue so i really wasnt putting alot into the hits. But i did like the way it felt though.

Buy them both!! I mean if you like 'em./ They make decent cues the reason some of thier cues are cheap is because they use over lays or stickers that look like inlays. If you a get a RP series then they have real inlays but the other 2 series they have are a combo of real and fake inlays. I am a dealer for them and have sold quite a few with no complaints! Thier hit seems to be pretty good and I have not noticed too much flex in the shaft. They are good for the price!

Luke,

Yea the one i looked at was the RP-4 model, And that was one reason i was kinda leary of buying one cuz i know some cues like Lucasi and Joss are going to the fake inlays.

Yea trust me if you got the prices i am getting you'd buy both too lol.

Oh and i found a web page, that said Keith McCready uses a Fury? not sure how true that is. But kinda caught me off guard.

but yea i didnt notice too much shaft flex when i was doing the test hits, but i really wasnt hitting the balls hard, and was basically hitting the cue center just to see how it hit.

Now not sure if you have tried the J/B but it does hit very nice. very stiff hit. And jumping, it was cake, i dont normally jump, cuz i dont have a jump cue, but it was easy.

To tell you the truth they use that tip/ferrule thing right is that the one you were looking at if so since you like the hit you can go to a repair man I think most should have those phenolic jump breaks and get one of those put on your break cue now it will give you the same hit and be cheaper. If you cant find one in your area ship the shaft to me I will put one on in a day and send it back!! You should check out cue sight for jump cues I got my friend one (again I am dealer for them and fury and viking a bunch of others) for like $60 bucks and that thing jumps like god!! I mean you can put the balls about .5 inches away from the object ball and it clears it!! Its a nice jump stick!

Luke,

Yes the J/B i was looking at has the Ferrule/Tip combo on it. on my break cue i do have a phenolic ferrule/tip combo on it. I just want to have a J/B cue do i dont hafta carry around a extra cue for nothing. And usta own a Omen J/b too, still kick myself for getting rid of it lol.

Yeah I am going to kick you too for getting rid of it!! LOL!

Bob tried them at The BCA tournament in Vegas. He really liked the way they played. He says for the money they are a great cue.

I like the fury jump break, i own one, breaks'em awesome.

THe cues i didnt like the feel, and i didnt want to spend the money on a predator shaft which costs more than 3/4 of the cue.

Here goes...been playing for 25+ years...never really gave a lot of thought to cues...played with house cues mostly...bought a Cue-Tec Graphite when they first hit the scene...played with that cue exclusively until 2003...I got introduced to League Play, and along with that 'Pool Snobs'...they couldn't beat me mind you, but they had really nice cues, Joss, Southwest...etc...so I ventured out to purchase my first 'wood' cue...I bought a Fury DL-9 for $89 to see if I liked the difference going from Graphite to Wood...I did, the cue hit great, no flex...awesome!...now I'm a 'Pool Snob' too ...I now own a Meucci Original. and a Schon...the Fury is now my break cue...can't go wrong for the $$$...lay it on the table and you can't even tell that the design is overlays!...

The inlays on the RP series are 100% genuine. The NR series is mixed inlays and decals (overlays) and the DL series decoration is all decals. And that is the only reason there is a price difference. All Fury cues are made to hit good using good materials.

A quick story along these lines: About two years after Falcon came on the market they started needing repairs/refinishing. One of my good friends is a cuemaker in Germany, Han Joerg Bertram. I was in his shop and he showed me a Falcon he was refinishing. His comment on the "value" of the cue was something like this, "I don't know if they are good cues or not but they must have a good relationship with Sharpie." (Actually he said "Edding" which is the German equivalent of Sharpie Markers.)

Keith did play with a FURY for a while but nothing really materialized along the lines of an endorsement relationship. It was really informal. If possible please give me the website and if it is something that I can fix - I will.

Well, now i am in a bind lol

Tonight i was shooting in a tournament, well a friend of mine who wasnt in the tournament was using my Meucci,

Well i grabbed another friend of mines Predator, and played two matches with that cue and really liked the way it played. Now he has a Predator Sneaky pete that he would probably sell to me. So i would be again buying a used Cue. And i probably wont buy a Fury cue, because if i do buy a new cue, it will probably be a Pechauer or Schon. which would cost me a bit more $$$ but, its a better cue, plus its new. I have basically set my mind on getting a pechauer, only because i found one i really like. Unless i can find me a good deal on a predator lol.

Dave

I am buying a pechauer, i need somewhere to ship it in the states (eastcoast) and go down and pick it up, i dont want to pay 15% tax on a 500$ cue, to much tax money for the canadian government.
