i just got a not so sneaky pete from a guy in Iowa with a G-10 pin. Aside from getting the shaft turned down a bit it is a great cue. This is my 1st cue with the G-10 and I was wondering if there was a specific tip that seems to work well with the pin? Has anyone shot with a G-10, Moori medium, ivory ferrel set up before? I've never used stacked tips before but I was told that it is the way to go. Piglet, your imput would be appreciated. ;)

Thanks
Andy

Moori medium is the best option i've tried for my Cognoscenti with G-10 pin. this is what I've shot with for the last 3 yrs, and it feels very good. Also tried ivory ferrule, but I don't like it so much. My 2 cents.

Thanks Tom
I don't have an ivory ferrel on mine either I was just wondering. Love that wood to wood feel and the G-10 really seems to give a lot of feed back, at least as much as a 3/8 11 steel anyway.

Damn! That guy's on to me!

Did you buy a Diveney? Let's see some pics!!

I liked the way the Sumo played best, but it was VERY NOT durable. Only tip I've ever had that lost chunks. 3 for $6.50 from Muellers is unbeatable, IMO. If I did my own tips, I'd buy 20 (OK, would really be 18 or 21) and be happy (for the next year!).

It came to me w/ Moori med- I liked it but didn't go w/ it upon replacment 'coz the guy wanted $40 when, at the same time, you could get 1 in your hand for $9.

Triangle was fine, I felt it wore down too quickly though.

I currently have Tiger med on both shafts. I have used this brand on other sticks (alert: non g-10 sticks), and either the installer put a hard on :D or the pin makes the med play firmer- I dunno.

I am going to do one soft layered and a med layered on the next go-round.

And.What else do you know about me?!?!
