G10 pin question.

Hi, I am knew to this forum. I used to work for a cue maker before I joined the military and back in 04-05 he was really into the G10 glass pins. I used some of his cues and could not find a better feeling cue. The hit was so solid. The cue just reminded me of a one piece so much. I have owned several cues sense then Schon, Joss, Balabushka, and I have never had a better hit then the one I used built by my friend. I have come across a McDermott cue and I like it very much it reminds me of the first "good" cue I ever bought. I would like to put a glass pin in it. The ones we put in my friend's cue back in 04-05 were radial pins. I would like to be able to get a 3/8-10 glass pin and just swap it with the one in the cue now. Is there such a pin made and if so where can I find one? I have been googling all day and can not find one anywhere. The closest I could find was the 3/8-8 but that won't work with the threads in my shaft correct? Thanks for you help, Andy

The pin atlas sells will work but you will have to do some work to your shaft also. The threads in your shaft are the full threads and that pin is the flat thread. This means you will have to put your shaft on a lathe and open up the minor diameter of the hole to fit.

Not necessarily.
A lot of std. 3/8x10 installers use a 5/16" (.3125) tap drill.
That's already larger than the flat-bottom minor diameter.
.302-.308" depending on whose pin you're using.
