Well...here comes the proof!
Growing up in the midwest in the middle of nowhere, I was never privy to pool rooms filled with "great" players...which often leads to high stake games... Nope, our gambling consisted of: Loser pays for the next rack!
I'm usually able to discern what certain phrases mean just through context...but for whatever reason, I haven't been able to figure out a lot of the gambling "lingo"...
So this thread are for those who are "in the know" and have the desire to share their expertise...
What are some of the common (or even uncommon) "gambling terms" and what is their definition such that a layman could understand (e.g. "to get spotted the 7", etc.)?
