Can anyone tell me what these cases are worth? 1x1, 1x2, 2x2, etc.. Are they still made? If so, where can you get one? I really like the way they're made, and someone told me they're really good cases. Any info?
Thanks,
David
P.S, how 'bout some opinions? Anybody have one? Do ya like 'em or hate 'em?
:p :p :) :D   :o ;) :p

Its George cases very nice PVC covered in leather or vinyl (the v models). the only ones I've seen are the 1x2,2x4,and the 3x6. Nice lightweight case. Its George is out of business and you prob only find them on e-bay, in-fact I have a 1x2 up for sale now.

The only one I know of who is making that style of case is Ron Thomas, out of Louisiana. Hes a very nice guy to talk to and has many different configs to choose from. His basic 1x2 leather case (doesn't work in vinyl) starts at about $175. Sounds expensive, until you think of it as a custom case competing with Whitten and J.Justice.

if you mean those old cases with the slide-on cover/latch,,,they're no good for storage because they press the butt and shafts together, and the shafts can warp. you have to play with your cues often to avoid this. for1x2's, whitten style cases, where shafts and butt are in their own seperate sleeve, are a better solution.

It's George cases were made by Mike Roberts in Shreveport, Lousiana. They were probably the best American case at the time for balancing weight, size and protection.

They are semi-collectible now, bringing good prices on Ebay when in good condition. I don't see any problem with storing cues in them.

Ron Thomas is making a case based on the George style with better latches and better construction.

I have two cases labeled IT'S GEORGE by BRUNSWICK that are somewhat similar to the original George case. The former, however, is still manufactured by Brunswick.

Thanks to everyone for the info.
Koko-Do you use these cases? If so, do you like them and why?
Anyone else?

its george cases are collectibles now... very nice cases. These days i'm partial to Porper.. They're very functional and very good cases. But i'm partial because of his customer service. Once you buy one you'll never need to buy another case unless you get more cues. If the case starts to degrade which i've only seen one that has. Joe is more than happy to send you a brand new case and you can send yours to him. I seen this girl's that was unraveling and before she could even ship hers off Joe sent one to her 1st day air. Now that's customer service.
