Rack 3 balls, Break em, take ball and hand and run them out. If you are trying to improve your 9ball game, run them in order. Straight pool, run them in any order, 8ball: designate one of the balls as the "8ball".

Progressivley increase the number of balls as you get better and better at running them out. i.e. 4 balls run them out, 5 balls run them out. etc. etc.
You might want to add a ball when you can run out 4 or 5 out of 10 times. Or you can go up and down on each rack. You run out 3 balls then add a ball. YOu don't run out 4 balls, drop back to 3. See if you can get to 9 or 15.

For added difficulty you can only take ball in hand if you don't have a clear shot at the one. You can also spot balls made in on the break too.

If your not even up to doing 3 balls, then setup some easy shots and put a napkin on the pool table and try to get the cue ball on or close to the napkin.

Or just bangin some straight in shots in the corner while concentrating on your fundamentals can also get you back into tune. Even firing object balls straight into the coner pockets can sometimes be helpful to smoothing out your stroke. Also try it with your eyes closed(after you set up for the shot of course :)

stop shots, and small angle cut shots...........nothing too hard.

just shoot them for a little while. you'll start feeling your stroke and "seeing" the balls again in no time.

this is a good warmup before a tourney as well........warms your confidence up real quick.

don't go trying alot of hard cuts or anything like that.........just the average shots.......this will really help.

thanks

Rusty ...

You actually get that rusty with a 3 week layoff. That's hard for me to believe.
Did you forget how to aim, or how to pocket balls .... lol

I layed off 5 months once, went to down to a favorite money haunt, and
shot 33 hours straight in a 3 way 9 ball game for $50 a game per man, or a
$100 a game. I didn't plan for that to happen, it just ended up that way.
And during that match, I ran an 11 pack, 7 run outs and 4 breaks in a row.
