Getting better

Hey Jenn why don't you play in more of the Men's events and the Open pro events, I understand that it's not cheap but I think competing in these types of tournaments will really bring up one's game. I think that Karen's game really jumped from time spent with the Fusco's and playing in the Joss tour with better competition. What's your opinion??

Jim

PS I live in the NE and travel to many tournaments in the tri-state area, I haven’t seen you play in any men’s events, if you do and I missed you I am sorry, but would still love to hear your opinion.

Hi JimBo,

I agree with you! My intention is to try to play in all of the events I can, men's included, after September. Obviously now that I am a full time pool player money is a big issue, but I'm working on getting help in that area. I actually played in one Joss event 2 years ago, and I really liked it. If you see me at a Joss event this fall, make sure you introduce yourself, although if you look like your picture you shouldn't be too hard to spot.

I'm pretty sure you're married and I'm cute and charming, so maybe it's better if I don't say hi. :-) Just kidding. If you play in any in CT I am sure I'll see you and I'll make it a point to say hi, if you play in the event at my room I'll buy you a drink or 5, after play ends of course. I just see that it has been a big difference maker in some of the ladies games and I can't imagine why more don't take advantage of it, big fish in the lil pond comes to mind but I just don't get it.

Jim <-------Not quite as bad as the pic, but same haircut.

Hi JimBo,

I can't really say why the other women don't play on the Joss tour, but I know I haven't because I'm just lazy. For a few years while I was trying to get my pro status I was playing in 2 qualifier tours, and then when I won my first qualifier I was also playing in the WPBA events. This left me with one weekend a month at home. Once I got my pro status I just enjoyed having 3 out of 4 weekends at home, but I think now I have to get out there and start competing in other events.

Nice pic, Wally. I can see the effect you're having on 9bg.

Hi Wally,

You know, I was thinking "Wow, this doesn't look like the guy I met in Peoria". I guess that's why. So that's JimBo making 9bg swoon. Well done, my friend.

WAIT ONE DAMN MINUTE!!!! I'm waaaay cuter then that. The guy who took that picture is a real jerk and a bad photographer. He took my bad side. I was hung over. I didn't get much sleep. The camera adds 25 pounds. I was having a bad hair day. It was 2 days after a major hurricane. I had no power in my hotel. I ate steak for diner. I had to play a pool tournament in the dark, Wendy is a camera hog. Fred was making funny faces in the back. Ok Ok, I give up. But I am certainly much more charming in person, if I wasn't me I'd like to meet me.

Why is your arm extended like that?

Ummmmmmmmmmmm I was the real Jerk and bad photographer :(
That's my world famous self portrait mode it's usually preceded by my "make love to the camera" line. Maybe when we meet at the Joss event this year I'll get you in one of those famous shots.
