I am an average 9-ball / 8-ball player looking to improve my game. My shape is always spot on but i have a felleing of hopelessness any time a real hard cut comes up. So after not playing for a while i walked into my local Legion (Military Retiree's club) to play some snooker with those old farts yesterday. I figure this is one of the best place to learn the game since most these guys have been playing for longer than i have been alive. Also these are the only snooker tables to play on in my small town. And the shitty thing is they are only 5 x 10 tables. But anyways i don't have a snooker cue and i am looking for something cheap, under $40 includeing shipping. I was looking on ebay and i stumbled upon this. I was just looking for a few opinions as I know absolutely nothing about snooker cues. Does this cue look like apretty decent deal or should i be looking elsewhere? All opinions appreciated.

Finding a CHEEEEP cue of any kind is lotsa luck! Maybe just find a smaller shaft....
If you are now using a 13mm tip...I recommend only dropping to about a 11.75 or 12mm tip. Going to a smaller "more normal" 10mm or less, is quite a big difference.
I play a lot of snooker(on 12 footers) over seas, and then jump back to our american tables often and found this might be a good procedure.

since you live in Canada then i guesse you can't go wrong with a Dufferin Cue...they build really nice affordable snooker cue....when i play snooker i just use my pred shaft which has been cut down to like God knows the mm but it's thin enough for me to use for snooker....so you can just taper you shaft down abit if you want.
