First off let me state that I'd like it if the mods allowed this to be kept in the public forum for a few days before moving it to the appropriate location ( cue reviews )... I ask because of the vast amount of people that visit these pubs on a day to day basis.
About a month and a half ago I received what I can only call a Louisiana monster player from a person by the name of keebie fleniken and as most of you know him on these boards as, Greyghost..
Let me tell you guys, this thing is hitting like lightning from zeus rained down upon it from mount olympus.
At first I was a bit skeptical.. I like my cues light but this thing has got to be around the 17.7 oz area. At first picking it up i didn't know if it had enough umph in its hind end if you know what I mean. Boy was I wrong..
I have to keep this kind of short for times sake but let's leave it that for roughly the same price of a mid-range Lucasi this man can build ya a stick with a stunning hit to it.
Most of the cues i've shot up to this one have all had a certain amount of annoying vibration in the end of the shaft at impact, but i swear to the life of me i haven't detected even a hint of it since receiving this bad boy.
I was meaning to get a review out at an earlier date but just haven't found the right time to say bravo. Well monday night I got a sense of it.
Opponent on the hill 8-ball, i'm 5 games away and you know the rest. Every safety and every shot was hit about as well as I could have hoped for and i won 5 straight to take the set.
Last night was the puddin on the cake. League night and a 17-3 blowout. One of the shots was where the 6 was sitting about an inch off the rail and about 4 or 5 inches away from the corner pocket. I was straight in on it with the cb at the other end not 4 inches off the rail at just below the second diamond. The 7 could only go in the opposite and it had to be drew straight back to just above the cb was optimally.
Normally this wouldn't be much to say about if i wasn't playing on an old raggedy valley bar box in some dark room in the corner of a bar with a mud ball and rails older than mosconi but i'll be damned if i barely hit that thing only to see the cb go about 2 inches forward after striking 6 and hit 5th gear in reverse lol.. came about a frickin inch from scratching in the corner where the cb was.
Props are due keebs.. you've done a tremendous job with this "basic" stick as you call it. Can't wait to see what other kind of monsters you can ring up.
