I spoke with Buddy yesterday and he is fine. He just had some blood pressure issues and intends to be at the IPT next week.

Thanks OHB for the info. My friend saw Buddy in Duluth GA. at the Southern Classic and told me that Buddy was there but not feeling very well. I hope he gets better soon!!

I went to the GCO yesterday (thurs) and had to stay for the late matches which were awesome! Too bad that there were soooo many byes (40 of them) and the top ranked players had the byes so there weren't ANY playing in the earlier matches. Then, the evening matches were ALL good matches with most of the top players...too many games to watch at a time! Earl and Hatch, Nevel vs. Harriman, Bobby Hunter vs. Charlie Mora, Jarvis vs. Kid Delicious, Deuel vs. Al Lapena. It was good to see Bobby Hunter there and playing so well. I saw Lil John Macias play for the first time and he's a treat to watch...so talented as is Nevel also. A good mix of veterans and young potential players. I liked the races to 10 which seemed almost too short for the top players.

I've known Juan for a long time now, though it's been a while since I've see him. He's a very capable player.

I hope he does well in the tournament too. I'm also glad that so far, Brandon Ashcraft has been doing great.

Hiya Alice..hope things are going well for ya down south..didnt even know ya moved.

Would be nice to see either Juan or Brandon get through their bracket, both definately can produce a high gear. Juan has been hitting them occasionally again.

Nah, but I've matched up at Airway before.

With the username I thought you might have been Middletown Whitey. Joe, Frank, Tommy and Ward himself had an ongoing joke about spinning the ball (directed at Frank.)

You must be close to the Dayton area then, say within an hour drive right?

I just checked the bracket again, and Juan now has to face Brandon Ashcroft.

I would seriously be tripping if Juan went all the way and won.

But the crowd only gets tougher, with guys like Kennedy, Archer, Danny B, and unfortunatly Earl, and Brandon left on the winners side.

But the Loser side isnt a cake walk either with many top shooters still in it.

Well, my man Joe Brown put up a valiant effort to no avail. Did anyone watch one of his matches? It looks like he played fairly well.

I have known Juan since my days in Grand Rapids, I was in awe at his playing abilities watching him in his matches. I have never seen Juan shoot so well. Brandon as always was completely focused and shot like a pro. We left last night during the match against Varner after Brandon rattled the 3 on a long shot to the corner. What is even more impressive is that the crew from Michigan is not letting down.

When I left Thursday, Brandon was scheduled to match up with Chad Palmer (also from Michigan) at 9:00 pm. When was the Varner Ashcraft match?

I looked for you Alice, now I know why I couldn't find you. :p

Hope all is well in Atlanta.

How exciting- Brandon is one of four undefeated! Michigan has definitely had a strong showing at the GCO.

Thanks for all the well wishes. Michelle, hope you are doing well too.

I heard that there was a little bit of action, but I don't know what the outcome was of the doubles match btw. Ronnie Wiseman/Robb Saez and Jason Kirkwood/Chris Bartrum. Does anyone know?

Thanks.
