Glue used on a segmented handle

I am sure that this has been asked before. What glue would work best for a segmented handle to allow you enough time to be able to line up the grain of the wood?
I know that gorilla glue would be best for a cored one piece.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.I have yet to do either a cored or segmented handle.I have yet to purchase the gun drill bit to do a full cored handle so I figured a segmented handle would be the way to go first.

Thanks Rich

Rich, All the segmented handles Ive done have all been cored and sleeved over. I use west system epoxy and have plenty of time to line everything up. Hope this helps Dave
