Gold Crown 1 Decal Color?

What is the correct color for the decals that go on the side aprons that say Brunswick for an all white GC1?

I’ve seen photos in searches on here but can’t tell if their gold, black or silver? I’m getting ready to order the decals from Classic Billiards and want to make sure I get the appropriate color!

The GC1 never came with them. So it comes down to personal preference IMO. Ken's decals work great. I have used them in the past, customer went with the Gold ones here! Please post finished pics of your table when its done! :)

I have been restoring this table for a couple weeks and just about finished. In the final stages of painting the white on everything. I wasn’t sure if the originals came with them or not. This forum has helped me tremendously and I just recently got my membership approved so I could post a message.

Since the trim and other parts are polished I was thinking silver but maybe the black would be better contrast.

I will definitely upload some photos when I finished and thank you for the help.

Awesome! Another restored Gold Crown I. Congrats! What method are you using to paint?

I used the color codes from this forum for the SW primer and enamel and HVLP gun. Sanding between coats. Last coat goes on today.
I was able to strip, sand, buff and polish my rail trim but failed miserably on the pocket castings and feet. Ended up having them soda blasted and powder coated in Prismatic Powder’s Super Chrome and Clear coat.

Nice! Which HVLP? I had mixed results with the HVLP I was using and decided to invest in a Graco TC Pro Airless. It's a great little gun!

I tried the graco first and it just wastes too much paint and the finish was crap. I bought a cheap $40 gun off Amazon that came with a 2.0 tip. Added a cup of water to each gallon of primer and enamel. Finish came out pretty good but it’s not perfect. Still has some orange peel to it even after wet sanding at 1200.

Which Graco gun? I used a 210 fine finish tip with great results. What paint are you using?

I’ll add no thinning of the paint and I used Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane Trim Emamel.

Using the same emerald urethane enamel from SW but I definitely used the bigger tip. I experimented with various ways and got my best results from noted above. I did not try using a smaller tip like a 210 though and probably should have.

I also discovered through using the Emerald Urethane, that even thought the paint has fantastic leveling qualities, it can be compromised if it dries too fast resulting in orange peel and pimpling. Ideally, it should dry in temps 77 degrees or less at 50% or less humidity. On my Gold Crown Ball Polisher project I was getting pimpling when I was shooting the lid recently because it was too hot. For the final coat I had to let it dry in the house which yielded a smooth finish.

I love your detail dude. Really, you should start a company making those ball cleaners. Small company, one at a time and grow it organically.
Much respect.
