The slates will work just fine, the hole pattern in the slates will line up fine with the Gold Crown rails. The only thing you will have to do is grind some cut outs for the scoring wheels. The scoring wheels will hit the edge of the slate and NOT spin, and the rails will not rest properly on the slate if you don't grind away some of the slate where they will make contact. Barry
