Gold Crown question: Table Height Adjustment & Restoring Leg Feet

Hi everyone, I have a Gold Crown III and had a couple of questions I’m hoping someone can help with.

First, what is the ideal height for the playing surface? Mine measures around 29 inches from the ground to the felt, which feels a bit low for me. I'd prefer something closer to 30 or 30.5 or even 31 inches if possible. Is there a way to adjust the height, and can it be done as a DIY project, or does it require a professional?

Second, the leg feet on my table are in pretty bad shape (please see attached photo). I’d like to clean them up and make them look shiny and better again, without having to take them off. Has anyone restored these before or found a good method to polish or paint them in place? I’d really appreciate any advice or tips. Thanks in advance!

My table is at 31"

No way you are going to restore those without removing them. As gasman said, powder coating is going to be the most durable option.
