I ordered and received three soft tips from AZB friend Outsville. Two were perfect, but I thought one of them was lop-sided, not good enough to use. I emailed a request for a replacement.
That's where Outsville's good customer service kicked in. Outsville did not try to make me jump through hoops, they didn't debate how much lop is lopsided; they didn't even ask that I return the tip.
Outsville simply set about to make me a satisfied customer, and they succeeded.
Their reply to my email included a polite apology, and an acceptance of responsibility, without excuses. They said they were sending me *two* replacement tips, not just the one I requested.
This was my first purchase from Outsville.com, about twenty-five bucks total. As everyone can probably tell, I don't really know the people who make up Outsville.com, nor do any of them know me, so there is no prior history. Nevertheless, despite my status as a very small first time customer, I was treated as if I was a super duper repeat account worth a million dollars.
BTW, I have shot a couple of hours using the new soft tips on two different shafts, one a low deflection shaft and the other plain hard rock maple. I am very happy with the way the tips impart English to the cue ball, and with the way they hold chalk. From other's reports, I expect very good wear, as well as reduced mushrooming.
Thanks for the good service, Outsville.com, I admit I expected no less from you guys for some reason. If this thread gets a hundred replies, and shows that AZB customers know and expect first class service from Outsville, I will not be surprised at all.
