Hi all, I'm new here, recently back to the game. I'm picking up a GC IV in a couple of days, and I'm wondering if anybody can recommend a good mechanic in the Western NC (Asheville) area.
If not, I'll try to setup this thing myself. FWIW I'm experienced setting up precision machine tools, and have a couple of Starrett machinist levels (12" 98's).
I also used to level houses when I was younger, so I also have some idea how to level multiple pieces of less rigid (than cast iron) materials together, if that helps.
Assuming the table doesn't need repair, how difficult a task is dialing one in?
